Love INC’s 2026 Fall Campaign is a community-wide invitation to show up for your neighbors.

There is a moment Joe looks forward to every time his volunteer crew delivers beds for kids.

“When we deliver beds for kids, they fight over which one is theirs. Seeing that joy, and knowing how much a bed of their own means for a child’s sense of security and development — that’s why I keep coming back.”

Joe volunteers with the furniture delivery team at Village Church of Gurnee, one of 80+ local churches partnered with Love INC of Lake County. He has seen that moment play out more than once — and it never gets old.

That is the work Love INC exists to make possible — mobilizing local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ.

A Community That Shows Up

For 34 years, Love INC has connected neighbors in need with local churches ready to serve them — through furniture, kitchen items, life skills classes, beds, and the relationships that form around all of it. None of it happens without the people who show up.

David volunteers with Trinity Community Church’s furniture team. He remembers walking into the apartment of a man who had just relocated through a rehabilitation program. He had a chair, a mattress, and not much else.

“We were able to provide him with a recliner. Not only was it helping to furnish him, it gave him a comfortable place to call home. You saw the joy when he kicked back. We adjusted the TV so the light from the windows wasn’t in his eyes, and he talked about wanting to read his Bible more. That was very meaningful.”

It is the small details like changing the TV angle, and then the conversation that follows, that turn a delivery into something more. And the impact has a way of coming back around. One Love INC volunteer recently helped pick up a set of bunk beds from a woman who was moving — bunk beds that Love INC churches had originally delivered to her family years before. She was passing them on so another family could have what she once needed.

This fall, we’re asking you to show up again.

Love INC’s 2026 Fall Campaign is a community-wide effort to raise $80,000 to sustain and grow this ministry across Lake County. And alongside the financial campaign, we’re holding our second Stuff The Truck Event; a community collection of sheet sets, blankets and comforters, and new pillows for families who need them.

And here’s some exciting news: We’ve met the goal for our first $5,000 match! A second generous donor is offering another match for $5,000!! Your donation of any amount will help us unlock this additional $5,000. Your gift today goes twice as far.

Join Us October 3

On Saturday, October 3, Love INC is hosting our second Stuff The Truck event at our warehouse at 339 Lakewood Avenue, Waukegan from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drop off your donation then join us for a Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ celebration.

This year’s goal: 1,500+ bedding items collected and $80,000 raised to keep the ministry moving. Already, 19 churches have committed to running their own collection drives. The Church is showing up and we want you to be part of it.

How You Can Get Involved

Make a financial donation. Any amount makes a difference and goes directly toward mobilizing the Church in Lake County In the Name of Christ. Help us achieve the second $5,000 match!

Run a bedding drive at your church, small business, or neighborhood. Collect pillows (new only), full-size sheet sets, and full-size blankets or comforters. Drop them off at the Love INC warehouse at the October 3 event, or contact us to arrange drop-off or pick-up. We’ll send you a “how to” kit with everything you need to get your drive going.

Sponsor the Campaign. Receive recognition for your business or organization on social media throughout the campaign and on-site at the Stuff The Truck event.
